Come on in, the water is fine! Sheldrake Point is one of the best spots to swim in Cayuga Lake. The water runs from the high-60s from late June to mid-70s in July and August and back to the 60s in September. With variations based on a variety of features in the region including Sheldrake Creek and naturally the weather.
Sheldrake Point offers the deepest part of Cayuga Lake which drops down to 435 ft. nearby and has some great waterfront access for boating and other watercraft sports and leisure activities.
